Overview
Corvid supports three occupancy count reset modes for sites that use direction detection and parking enforcement. The reset mode controls how a site’s vehicle occupancy counter is cleared — automatically based on detection activity, manually by an operator, or a combination of both.
Reset Modes
Automatic — The occupancy counter resets automatically when the system determines the site is empty (no vehicles detected). No manual action is required.
Manual — The counter only resets when an operator explicitly triggers a reset. Use this mode when automatic detection is not reliable enough to confidently determine that the site is empty.
Both — The counter can be reset either automatically or manually. Automatic resets occur when the site empties; operators can also trigger a manual reset at any time.
How to Configure the Reset Mode
Go to Sites and open the site you want to configure.
Navigate to the site’s Settings tab.
Under Occupancy, locate the Reset Mode option.
Select Automatic, Manual, or Both.
Click Save.
How to Manually Reset the Occupancy Count
If the site’s reset mode is set to Manual or Both, you can trigger a manual reset:
Open the site in Corvid.
In the occupancy panel, click Reset Count.
Confirm the action. The occupancy counter returns to zero.
Notes
The Reset Mode setting is only available on sites with Occupancy Tracking enabled.
Manual reset actions are recorded in the Audit Log.
Changing the reset mode on an active site takes effect immediately — no restart required.
