Overview
Clips are short video recordings extracted from your camera feeds. Whether triggered automatically by an LPR event or created manually during live view or playback, clips allow you to preserve and share the exact footage you need without downloading entire recordings.
How Clips Are Created
• Manual — Create a clip from the Live Stream or Playback pages by selecting a time range.
• Event-linked — Clips can be generated automatically when a hotlist match or alarm occurs.
• Case-linked — Clips can be attached to a Case as evidence during an investigation.
What You Can Do with Clips
• View clips directly in the browser with the built-in video player.
• Download clips for external use or reporting.
• Share clips with other members of your organization.
• Attach clips to Cases for organized evidence management.
• Delete clips that are no longer needed.
How to Use It
1. Navigate to Clips from the sidebar.
2. Browse your saved clips, filtered by camera, site, or date.
3. Click a clip to play it in the viewer.
4. Use the actions menu to download, share, or delete a clip.
5. To create a new clip, go to Live Stream or Playback and select your desired time range.
