Overview
When configuring a Corvid camera, each channel needs a stream URI that tells the platform where to pull video from. You can set this URI by selecting an ONVIF profile directly from the camera, or by entering it manually. This guide walks you through both options.
Before you start
Your camera must already be registered in your Corvid organization.
You need Device permission to edit channel settings.
Option 1: Select an ONVIF profile (recommended)
1. Go to Devices and open the camera you want to configure.
2. In the camera details overlay, navigate to the Device tab.
3. Scroll down to the Channels section and expand the channel you want to configure.
4. Click the Channel URI dropdown. It shows the current URI or a placeholder if none is set.
5. If no profiles are loaded yet, click Fetch profiles inside the dropdown to retrieve ONVIF profiles from the camera.
6. Select a profile from the list. The URI and profile token will update automatically, and ONVIF settings will appear below the selector.
7. Click Save to apply the changes.
Tip: If the camera has many ONVIF profiles, the list scrolls — scroll down to see all available options.
Option 2: Enter a URI manually
1. Follow steps 1–4 above to open the Channel URI dropdown.
2. Choose Manual input from the bottom of the dropdown.
3. Enter the full stream URI in the dialog that opens.
4. Click Save to confirm.
Notes
The channel URI is stored per-channel. If your camera has multiple channels, repeat these steps for each one.
If Fetch profiles doesn't return any results, verify the camera is online and that ONVIF is enabled in the camera's own configuration.
Changing the channel URI does not affect existing recordings or clips.
