Overview
Fisheye cameras produce a 180° or 360° circular image that can be difficult to read. The Corvid video player now includes a Fisheye Dewarp control that digitally flattens the image, making it easier to identify vehicles, plates, and activity in the scene.
Where the control is available
The dewarp control appears in the player toolbar on all video surfaces:
Live stream view
Corvid Playback (NVR and cloud recordings)
Clip player
Motion event overlay
Enabling fisheye dewarp
Open any video stream from a fisheye camera.
In the player controls toolbar, locate the Fisheye icon (next to the volume control).
Click the icon to toggle dewarp on. The image will be corrected to a rectilinear view.
Click the icon again to return to the original fisheye view.
Tips for fisheye cameras
Dewarp is applied digitally — it does not affect recordings or exports.
Some lens types produce better results depending on the camera's mounting position (ceiling, wall, or floor). Experiment with the toggle to find the most useful view.
If your camera has multiple channels (multilens), set the correct channel URI in the device settings to ensure the right stream is used for dewarp.
