Overview
Corvid Broadcast lets you designate a camera as a publish-only livestream source and generate an RTMP URL that third-party systems or CDN destinations can ingest. Once enabled, the camera streams live video to the broadcast target without interfering with its normal recording or LPR functions.
Requirements
You must have stream-create permission on the camera.
A live stream relay address must be configured for the site.
Enabling Corvid Broadcast on a camera
Go to Devices and open the camera you want to broadcast.
Click Enable Livestream in the camera settings panel.
In the dialog, select the Broadcast tab.
Enter your broadcast destination credentials (server URL and stream key).
Click Confirm. Corvid generates an RTMP URL for the broadcast.
Use the Copy button to copy the RTMP URL and provide it to your downstream destination.
Notes
Only users with stream-create permission can enable a broadcast. Users without this permission will not see the Broadcast option in Enable Livestream.
The camera continues to function normally for LPR detection, VMS recording, and alerts while broadcasting.
To stop the broadcast, return to the camera settings and disable Livestream.
