Overview
Each camera in Corvid shows two separate status signals: VMS status (the video management stream connection) and LPR status (the license plate recognition service). Understanding both helps you quickly diagnose whether a camera issue is affecting video, plate reads, or both.
What the Status Badge Shows
The status badge on each camera reflects overall health based on both signals:
• Online — Both VMS and LPR are operational.
• Degraded — One signal is down. Hover over the badge to see which one is affected.
• Offline — Both signals are down or the camera is unreachable.
Hovering the badge opens a tooltip showing the individual VMS and LPR status so you can identify the exact issue at a glance.
Live Status Updates
Camera status updates in real time — you don't need to refresh the page. The badge and tooltip reflect the current state as changes are detected.
Where to See Status
• The Devices page — status badge visible on each camera card.
• Camera detail panels — full VMS and LPR status displayed in the camera info section.
