Overview
Suppression rules prevent specific plates or conditions from generating alarms. If a plate is known and expected — like a frequent vendor, employee vehicle, or test plate — a suppression rule tells Corvid to skip alerting on it, reducing noise and keeping your alarms queue meaningful.
Steps
Navigate to Suppressions from the left sidebar.
Click Suppress Plate.
Add the Plate number.
Select a hotlist or leave without selection so it will be a Global suppression.
Optionally set a reason to document why this suppression exists.
Set an expiration date if the suppression should only last for a limited time (e.g., a temporary vendor).
Click Suppress. The rule is active immediately.
Notes
Suppressed events are still recorded — they just don't generate alarms. You can still find them in Search.
Expired suppressions are automatically deactivated but remain in your suppression history.
Suppression rules can be paused or deleted at any time.
