What is Invitations?

The Invitations page lets organization administrators invite new members to join their Corvid organization and assign them a role before they even sign in.

Overview

Invitations provide a controlled onboarding flow for new users. Instead of creating accounts manually, admins send email invitations that guide new members through sign-up and drop them directly into the organization with the correct permissions.

How Invitations Work

1. An admin sends an invitation to an email address and assigns a role.
2. The invitee receives an email with a secure link.
3. They sign up or sign in via the link.
4. They are automatically added to the organization with the assigned role.

Invitation States

Pending — Invitation sent but not yet accepted.
Accepted — The invitee has completed sign-up and joined the organization.
Expired — The invitation link is no longer valid.

Common Use Cases

• Onboarding a new operator or security guard to your organization.
• Adding a channel partner or external stakeholder with limited access.
• Re-inviting a user whose invitation expired before they could accept it.

How to Use It

1. Navigate to Invitations from the sidebar.
2. Click Invite Member and enter the recipient's email address.
3. Select the role you want to assign (e.g., Admin, Operator, Viewer).
4. Send the invitation.
5. Monitor pending invitations and resend or revoke them as needed.
