Overview
Once a site is created, you assign cameras to it so that alarms, events, and access controls are scoped correctly. Cameras can be reassigned between sites if your deployment changes.
How to Assign a Camera to a Site
Navigate to Devices from the left sidebar and find the camera you want to assign.
Open the camera's detail or settings page.
Find the Site field and select the appropriate site from the dropdown.
Click Apply Changes. The camera is now associated with that site.
This is the way to reassign or assign cameras that need a Site update.
Notes
A camera can only belong to one site at a time.
Reassigning a camera updates all future alarms and events to reflect the new site. Historical records retain the original site association.
Cameras not assigned to a site will appear in an unassigned state and may be harder to filter in the alarms and search views.
